Pain In Calf And Thigh
Help, the past 2 days my right ankle and foot have had pitted edema. I have IST and am unsure if this is connected. Now I have pain in calf and thigh, like vein pain. I am a over all healthy 33 yr old female.
Means a pain in the calf. This can be from muscle strain, a clot in a vein, a torn tendon, infection or a host of several other problems, including referred pain from someplace higher up, like the lower back. The best starting place for calf pain is your primary medical doctor, who can then make an appropriate referral depending on what he or she ...Read more
Sprained ankle on 11-13 swelling not going down foot cold and pale pain in calf and thigh. On crutches and off foot entirely. Pain unbearable at times?
See a specialist: You don't mention having it properly examined. In addition to a full examination, proper diagnostic testing including X-rays and perhaps an MRI will be useful. The condition (if occurred on Nov 13) is more than 6 weeks. The fact that you remain on crutches is of concern. See an orthopedist or podiatrist to have a proper assessment made. ...Read more

Symptoms ongoing for a year. Chest pain, left arm pain, left calf and thigh pain. Sometimes numbness in hand. No one knows. Been to many drs.
Mystery: Your year long syndrome deserves better than a 2 line description (your part) and wild guessing (our part). A thorough evaluation is necessary. If the UK system allows you to go to a university for a comprehensive evaluation, I would recommend that. ...Read more

For 2 days i've been having intermittent pain in my calf and thigh. It comes and goes. Could this be a sign of a dvt?
Possibly: Pain, swelling are common symptoms of dvt, and the best way to evaluate this is with a duplex ultrasound study of the involved leg. Sometimes, there is only minor, muscle pull sensation, and no swelling, and for the most part, physical examination is in error 50% of the time. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have fallen about five feet and landed with out bending my knees. Now I have pain in my calf and thigh, what should I do ?
Mild Trauma: Those muscles were likely engaged at the time of the fall in effort to protect the knee joint. Suggest initial treatment for muscle strain with hydration (1-1.5 liters per day) and naproxen OTC 2 tabs twice daily with food for three days, assuming you have no history of GI bleed or allergy to NSAID class medications. If pain in the knee joint itself develops, see an in-person doc for a joint exam. ...Read more
Possible but unlikel: Do you have any swelling of that leg relative to the other? Does the pain initaly improve and then return after activity? It may just be a muscular strain. Still, if it has persisted for months without lessening the intensity or going longer between episodes than you should see your md. Other possibilities include nerve or bone/joint issues would need a lot more info. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
