Wake up in night in pain. Fingers feel like they are swelling and burning. The middle fingers in both hands.
Carpal Tunnel: Sounds like you might have the beginning of carpal tunnel syndrome. This usually wakes you up with numbness affecting the thumb, index, and long fingers. There can be all varieties of presentation though. I would suggest buying a wrist brace to wear at night. Hard to diagnose : Without more history and physical exam, but would recommend you see your physician, have a thorough history and physical and discuss possibility of rheumatoid arthritis.
