Backwards thinking: Presumably you didn't just wander by a neurologist's shop window & made an impulse purchase of an EMG/NCS. You had the test for a reason. Was your foot pain the reason? You must have seen a PCP who referred you to a neurologist. What's THEIR differential Dx of your pain? If you didn't ask, why not? You have a right to an explanation in terms you understand.
