Need more info: I will need more info re this pain. How long present? Did you injure yourself in any way, lifting, stumbling, carry a heavy weight, etc?? You may have partially moved a rib out of place, but that is only one possibility. Does the pain respond to ice application? Heat? If it persists, should be checked by physician. ...Read more

UTI/kidnies: Although I am wondering about other associated symptoms, based solely upon what you describe I can't help but wonder if you may have a urinary tract infection, or even kidney infection, especially if there is burning with urination and/or fever.
