I always get arm pain after IV or blood test sometimes bruise regardless of where the needle was. Should I be concerned?

Is it swollen,red: or firm? If a superficial vessel gets a clot from a blood draw it will not travel to heart lung or brain. May have a mild thrombophlebitis . It sounds like you: have a phlebitis or inflammation around the needle stick. It could be infected. You should get it checked out. It might just be red and hard and go away with hot packs which you can start now by placing a warm compress over it a few times a day.
