Cardiac workup: Chest pain accompanied by nausea and belching may represent heart disease. A normal resting ekg however is not sufficient to exclude heart disease. An exercise stress test and an echocardiogram can help assess for blockages and structural heart disease. Is it swollen,red: or firm? If a superficial vessel gets a clot from a blood draw it will not travel to heart lung or brain. May have a mild thrombophlebitis .
