Needs evaluation: You need to be evaluated by a physician promptly. This is the area where you can have pain with appendicitis, which can rupture if not treated in an appropriate time. It can be something non urgent, but you need to be evaluated by a physician soon. Take care.

Several possibles: Hernia at your umbilicus, bad gallbladder, ulcer, are all possible diagnoses for your post prandial abdominal pain. Your case is complex, so best to check in with your regular doc for exam. Go sooner if you have fever, abdominal wall mass or vomiting. Be well.

Lower abdomen pain below belly button trailing right through intestinal. 7 hours radiates from discomfort to high. Nausea and 101 fever?

Lower abdomen pain below belly button trailing right through intestinal. 7 hours radiates from discomfort to high. Nausea and 101 fever?

Appendicitis: If you have your appendix, you may not by tomorrow morning. This description sounds very suspicious for acute appendicitis. If you already have fever as you report, you may be close to rupture if not already. You need to get yourself to an emergency room tonight. I'd prefer someone drive you or call ambulance. Don't wait any longer - go now!

Discomfort in lower abdomen (below belly button), becomes more painful when I sneeze, yawn, and pass gas. It started last night. What's wrong with me?

Multiple..: This could be related to multiple issues but in this case you will need to see a doctor in order to be examined. Possibilities: severe constipation, a vaginal or pelvic infection, urinary tract infection, indigestion, appendicitis (less likely), among many others. Pregancy could also be possible. If you feel very sick or severe pain go to the ED.

Keep looking: Robin, it appears that you have already had a fairly intense work up for the cause of your pain. It would be impossible to know just from your short description here what the next step should be. I would recommend a follow-up appointment with your primary doctor or your gastroenterologist, or even a second opinion. It can take a long time to find the cause and can be frustrating. Good luck.

Ok the top of my abdomen is rock hard and the bottom under my belly button Is soft.?

Constant?: If so, you may have an enlarged liver or mass of some kind. You should be seen and examined. If it comes and goes, it could possibly be some buildup of fluid or gas, not so serious. Good luck.

If a 5 to 6 inch knife went into your abdomen just below your belly button would you damage any organs and maybe die?

If a 5 to 6 inch knife went into your abdomen just below your belly button would you damage any organs and maybe die?

Possibly: Hi. Not a happy question to answer for any physician on here! Has this victim been to the Emergency Room? If not, GO NOW!!! The aortic bifurcation is right back there, but shielded by abdominal wall, intestine, the bladder, and uterus. Did you do this to yourself? If you want to die and this isn't a "call for help", you know what to do and not to do. We're not your conscience. Be at peace.

The bottom of abdomen below the belly button hurts when I cough what is this?

The bottom of abdomen below the belly button hurts when I cough what is this?

Could be a hernia: Increasing pressure in the abdominal area can cause a defect in the abdominal wall muscular to become apparent, which is called a hernia. If there is a bulge that you feel, or mass, this may be the intestinal contents protruding through, called a 'ventral hernia.' this can be normal in babies, but should be evaluated by your doctor in an adult.

Why does me abdomen area hurt when it's pushed on. Especially the area around my belly button.

Go to the emergency room.: It is difficult to tell from your description here how abruptly this pain started, but one must be concerned about the possibility of appendicitis in this situation. I would get checked out ASAP. Good luck.

I have a profound "heartbeat" in abdomen. Just above belly button. Should I be concerned about this?

I have a profound "heartbeat" in abdomen. Just above belly button. Should I be concerned about this?

Prior: Prior to answering your question, avvo's terms of use state, "such information should be used only as a starting point for addressing your medical issues. It is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. You should not disregard medical advice from your doctor, or avoid obtaining medical care, due to any health information you obtain on the site." without knowing your age, eating habits, body habitus (weight, bmi), complete blood count and other lab tests, past medical history, a simple "no" or "yes" answer will not suffice. I would recommend visiting your primary care physician to discuss all of these. In general, thin individuals when laying flat on their back, can see their abdominal aorta (i.e. "heartbeat" in the abdomen) pulsating which delivers oxygen to the lower parts of your body, and this is normal. However, if you are having symptoms, have a past history or family history of "heart problems", it would be wise to discuss this with your physician.
