Pain In Abdomen And A Knot Felt Above Belly Button
Get checked: It could be a hernia or something else- needs to be checked out.
Hernia: It could be a small umbilical hernia.
A hernia: See your doctor to make sure you don't have an incarcerated hernia.
I have a dime size knot right above my belly button and everytime workout (which I do often) or just a normal day, it tends to show up. Help!?
Many possibilities: There are numerous possibilities including a cyst or a small umbilical hernia among others. Have a doctor look at it for a definitive answer.

Some possibilities..: Feeling a knot of tightness near the belly button... Probably not in the skin, so the next layer is the muscle... Maybe a muscle strain from sit-ups or other exercises. Not likely to be a hernia there unless there is a bulge. Under the muscle layer are the intestines... Maybe some intestine contraction or spasm, due to no particular reason or to constipation. A doctor's visit can sort things out.See 1 more doctor answer
What causesthese symptoms: just under belly button a lil to the right feel like a knot that is blocking and could pop, bloats, constipated, intermitte?
Why do I feel a hard knot under my belly button? Don't think I'm pregnant, but I feel full and feel bloated.
Hernia?: You need to be examined. This could be an umbilical hernia (belly button hernia).
I run regularly, but when running today I felt a twisting/knot - like pain right below my belly button to the right. It's tender to touch.
Few possibilities: My guess is that it is an abdominal wall muscle strain, and it will resolve within a few days. Perhaps it will resolve after your next bowel movement. Some more serious internal disorders would be appendicitis, diverticulitis, twisting or volvulus of the intestine. If the pain is associated with fever, vomiting, diarrhea, very severe colicky pain, then obviously check with your doctor.
Depends: What type of surgery did you have; open or laparoscopic? Is there a healing incision at the site? I assuming the firmness that you feel is at the site of a healing scar. It will resolve over a few months. See your surgeon for an exam to be sure that you are healing properly.See 1 more doctor answer
Son had lapro appendectomy 6 days ago now has a knot/lump near belly button what could this be? Is about the size of 50 cent piece.
Post Op Concerns: The belly button or (umbilicus) is where the camera port was placed for your sons surgery. Once this port is removed some tenderness and swelling can occur. Redness, warmth, fever, pus, nausea are all reasons to call your sons surgeon right away. If the swelling doesn't go down, make sure the surgeon examines it at the follow up appointment. It could be a fluid collection, (seroma), or hernia.See 1 more doctor answer
I have sharp pulling behind my belly button. Nothing else hurts but that. I'm not pregnant. When I push around it, it hurts. It feels like a knot too.
See your doc: This should be evaluated. Hernia would be a concern, or it may be nothing to worry about, but get it checked out.
I'm having occasional pain in my belly button region. I had my gall bladder removed 4 weeks ago. Feels like a small knot right above the belly button.?
Wound still healing: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal via scope) requires several incisions/holes, one of which is through the belly-button (see picture). Scarring is something you only get to see on the outside, but occurs inside as well. The healing may not be complete and internal organ/intestine rubbing on it on/off which may cause some discomfort. As long as it getting better, u r ok. Good luck.

See a doc today: "a huge knot above the belly button" along with symptoms of nausea and sleeplessness is concerning for a hernia that cannot be pushed back into place have it looked at by your doctor now; if you can't, I would consider visiting an urgent care center or ed to have it evaluated before your symptoms get worse.
