If you were pregnant prior to this then it is likely that you had a miscarriage. You will need to see your doctor for an evaluation to determine exactly what happened. On the other hand, if you did not know you were pregnant and now think that you may have been, and the bleeding was a miscarriage, you should still see your doctor for an evaluation to determine if you are pregnant, had, or are having a miscarriage. This can all be determined through blood testing and an examination.
I know it is confusing, but you need to seek medical help in order to find answers.

I've been diagnosed with a 3.5 cm anterior subserosal fibroid. Sx's severe pain, heavy bleeding with cycles q 14 days. Uterine ablation good option?
Probably not: A combined laparoscopic myomectomy/ fibroid electrocoagulation and diagnostic hysteroscopy / possible endometrial ablation might be better choices , if you have already explored some non-surgical options like GnRH analogs and unless you do not want to consider a more definitive operation like a laparoscopic hysterectomy. Consult a specialist in fibroid treatments and Minimally-Invasive-Gynecology ...Read more
Hi! Is it normal to have ongoing spotting and terrible menstrual cycles (pain, heavy bleeding) 3.5 months after fibroid surgery?
Need evaluation: It really depends on how many fibroids were removed and their location. In general though I would say it's not normal over 3 months out. Especially if you feel like the pain is getting worse. Probably a good idea for you to go back to your surgeon and ask for an evaluation. In that period of time scar tissue can form (in uterus or pelvis) which can lead to pain. ...Read more
Been trying to get pregnant. week before period massive pain heavy bleeding , clots feel sick to my stomach . Not normal period really heavy and pain?
Pregnancy?: Heavy bleeding with clots can cause severe pain as large clots to be forced by uterine contractions through the narrow canal in the cervix. The strong contractions can cause nausea. Obtain a serum HCG test to make sure you are not pregnant, and if positive see your healthcare provider immediately to make sure the pregnancy is not in your tube (ectopic). ...Read more

Hi doctors.. I have done my first IVF and very sadly to tell you that it didn't work today i've got periods very bad pain and heavy bleeding please help.?
Told going thru change. Severe pain w/heavy bleeding off/on every 2 wks. Take progesterone birth control too. Is the pain & bleeding pattern normal?
No: You are probably having breakthru bleeding from the Progesterone pill. However, there may be something inside your uterus that is adding to the problem. See your gynecologist regarding a possible biopsy of the lining of your uterus (office test) and then a change in your birth control. It would be uncommon to be perimenopausal at your age, although not unheard of. U/s may be helpful & pelvic exam. ...Read more
Will a uterine ablation help pain and heavy bleeding from fibroids..I have that option or a hysterectomy. 41 years old..No children. Severely anemic.
UFE: Have you consulted with an interventional radiologist regarding uterine fibroid embolization (ufe)? This procedure is usually a great option for women with symptomatic fibroids. It is minimally invasive (tiny incision in your groin) and treats fibroids in any portion of your uterus, not just ones that can be reached through the uterine cavity. ...Read more

My uterus lining thickens after every three months . I face severe pain and heavy bleeding in periods.Whats its cure and does this effect fertility
Could be normal: Actually, your uterine lining thickens every month. That is a normal response to the estrogen from your ovaries. If you are not ovulating then the lining will continue to thicken. This can affect fertility. It can often be addressed with birth control pills, which obviously can also affect fertility. ...Read more
Period with severe abd cramps and back pain, very heavy bleeding (one super+ tampon an hour), clots, very tired, lightheaded, dizzy, cold. Go to er?
Excessive bleeding: This is excessive uterine bleeding and it occurs in women your age who do not properly slough the uterine lining. A dilation and curettage with a lining ablation will help this problem. To stop the bleeding the on call ob/gyn can call a prescription in. I think it is aminocaptaproic acid. See your ob/gyn and they can sort through this problem. Good luck. ...Read more
I had my tubes tied 9 months ago. Since then my period has been longer, this time for 2 weeks. I also have severe pain and very heavy bleeding. Why?
Multiple factors.: Post tubal pain is not uncommon. The heavy bleeding probably does not have to do with having had a tubal however. Most patients with post tubal pain can be managed symptomatically, that is with pain medications and such. Rarely, due to severe pain, patients have been known to have their tubal reversed. I suggest you follow up with your gynecologist who performed your tubal. Good luck. ...Read more

MRI of pelvis report said changes consistent with adenomyosis. Is it true adenomyosis will eventually cause heavy bleeding/pain &need for hysterectomy?
Why was the MRI done:
Incidental findings like this one are not uncommon. That is why we do not advice doing tests(like MRI) without a clear reason/search for a specific diagnosis causing unexplained pain or swelling.
I would advice you to wait to worry about all the consequences of adenomyosis when you/we are not even sure that you have this diagnosis! (worry when you have a real problem, not in anticipation! ...Read more

I was told on 12/06/17 that a cyst had raptured & the blood around in my uterus causing pain. I’m having heavy bleeding with blood clots, help?
The cyst rupture probably altered your hormonal balance and the heavy bleeding is likely to be a one time thing. If you are not in pain, you may watch and wait. For mild pain you may take acetaminophen. You may also wish to take oral iron and multivitamin supplements to prevent anemia. If heavy bleeding persists for more than 3-4 days, see doctor.
