Can my neck/arm pain be a result of bankart repair shoulder surgery 2yrs ago? nerve pain from neck down left arm, started 6 months after surgery

Probably not: If you had a bankart repair and did well for 6 months and started having neck pain running down your left arm, it is more likely coming from a "pinched nerve" in your neck. Bankart repairs are done primarily for instability, so if you have not developed recurrent instability, it is probably not your shoulder, also shoulder problems do not typically cause pain running down the arm. I have neck pain that radiates to arm like pinching but worse when I get up from bed is the worse what can it be I haven't had any trauma to it ?

Muscular most likely: The most likely cause is myofascial or muscular pain. It is possible that certain positions you might be sleeping in could be the cause of your pain. If you are experiencing any numbness/tingling or weakness it is possible it is a pinched nerve in the neck. If you're not having any of these nerve symptoms, I would suggest trying different pillows. Suggest trying to roll a towel for neck support. ...Read more

Why is there arm or neck pain from heart?

Why is there arm or neck pain from heart?

Referred pain: The nerves that innervate the heart branch off a main nerve trunk that also sends branches to the neck and into the left arm. Therefore when one of the branches senses painful stimuli, the brain cannot determine which branch the stimuli is coming from. Similar cases of referred pain occur from gall bladder pain (cholecystitis) causing right shoulder pain. ...Read more

I am 30 yo male.My girlfriend makes me very stressed, after the arguments often i get chest heaviness and a severe left arm and neck pain. Why?

Pinched nerve: Neck pain that runs down the arm with or without numbness and tingling sounds like a pinched nerve in the neck. This is usually caused by a protruding disc or bone spur touching one of your spinal nerves as it leaves your neck. Your neck muscle are probably tensing up which puts pressure on your "neck bones" causing the symptoms to worsen. ...Read more

My girlfriend has chronic neck pain and cracks her own neck. It makes a very loud pop, and sometimes causes "shocks" down her arms. Is what she is doing safe? If not, what problems could arise?

Possible arthritis: Popping neck may be ok since many do it without ill effects. But, "a shock down arms" means that the pop irritates her nerves going to the arm. Look up "brachial plexus" on the web. I worry disc injury or herniation. It is unclear if she has arthritis. I would keep back and neck straight and supported most of time. Avoid awkward position reading or watching tv. Would quit popping. See doc for xray. ...Read more
