How long?: Pain is normal in the first 1-2 weeks after surgery. But it should be getting better each day. If getting worse or associated with fevers, vomiting etc see your surgeon. Sounds serious: Severe pain after cataract surgery is not common. An adverse effect to analgesics could cause those symptoms, but serious causes need to be considered.
