Typical UTI symptoms: urinary urgency, frequency, voiding small amounts, burning with urination and bladder pressure lower abdomen. If UTI extends into kidney: sicker, fever, chills, flank/abdominal pain. Also, number of GI or gyne problems can cause abdominal discomfort. Need further eval. ...Read more

Nitrites = bacteria: Bacteria in urine yield +ve nitrite reaction, there not always have to be leucocytes (wbcs) in urine for a uti. Need to have your urine checked again because you may have a UTI with bacteruia resistant to macrobid. Need to see a dr. I'd you are having lots of pain & feel need to urinate frequently.
