On occasion I feel an aching pain in forearms when I cough. I cough often because I have asthma&allergy. What could be the cause of the forearm pain?
Hard to say: It is hard to say, there a number of possibilities and you may want to be checked. In my field of spinal surgery, coughing is known to increase the pressure in the spinal canal. And so, if a patient has a "pinched nerve" in their neck or back coughing can sometimes cause pain in their extremity. There are many other causes and an exam and more detailed history can usually determine the cause. ...Read more

Was taking Lyrica @ 600mg per day for around two years for idiopathic leg pain. Reduced down as leg pain gone but since tapering off have had pain in forearms and hands. Finished Lyrica two days ago and now in a lot of pain. (Arms) Could this be wd?
Suggestions: Am rather unclear as to validity of term "idiopathic leg pain", as there is always a cause. Suspect you are correct about your Lyrica (pregabalin). ...Read more

Medico legally, it is probably best to be seen and have it documented so that, if it doesn't resolve and has to be worked up in the future, there is no question it was caused by the accident.
