Pain in center chest while lifting weights of 1 to 2 kg. I am 20, male. How to treat this symptom? Is there any cardio problem?

Pain with walking?: 2 kg seems relatively light. If you get chest symptoms with fast walking or prolonged walking then this would be consistent with cardiac nature. If not then it could be related to sternum where the rib cage attaches in the front of the chest and this is a condition called costochondritis and is usually off to the sides of the sternum. ...Read more

Forget the ER doc: Shame on the ER doc for not knowing you're a non-smoker. Pain in that location which radiates to the back is really more in the abdomen than chest. 2 concerns I would have are: pancreatitis and peptic ulcer. You need further eval. Please see your family doc or go to a different ER if you otherwise don't have access to care. ...Read more

You may have sprain: D the joint or joints where your ribs connect with your sternum (costochondral joints). If so, by carefully pushing down along each joint, you may be able to identify the exact joint that's sore. This is treated with Advil or Aleve, (naproxen)and remember to not do anything that makes it hurt for a few weeks. Noticing pain in center chest and back. And a little pain in that location when swallowing food & burping, + diarrhea. For 4 days now. Any thoughts?

Esophageal: The discomfort suggests esophageal inflammation or dysfunction with some reflux. Associated diarrhea could be explained by a viral gastrointestinal infection which runs its course in several days. Eat a bland, low fat diet and avoid harsh roughage. Peptobismol May help (May cause black stools). Zantac (ranitidine) or pepcid helps the reflux quicker than prilosec. See your MD if symptoms persist or worsen. ...Read more

Sharp knife pain right center chest, 1 or 2 inches down & in from nipple. Sharper upon deep breath. Few days. Normal ultrasound & blood work. Causes?

Probably nothing: If this makes it painful to breathe in but does not take your breath away like hard exercise, it is almost certainly Texidor's twinge. It's harmless; try to inflate your lungs to the very maximum to relieve it. I believe it's caused by an infolding in the sensitive lining of the lungs. ...Read more

What cause pain in center of chest and if goes over the lft brest sharp

Sharp: Sharp chest pain is worrisome. There are multiple causes, some more dangerous than others. The reason a medical evaluation is in order is to rule out potential cardiac (heart) issues like decreased blood flow due to blockage in your hearts arteries, weak arteries that are possibly tearing (aortic dissection) these would be emergent situations. On the other hand it could be heartburn, or something called costochondritis (inflammation between the ribs) etc. With the limited information in your post, I am unsure what the cause of your pain is,
if the pain has subsided and returns on occasion you should see your doctor. If it is severe you need to go to an urgent care or er.
Take care. ...Read more
