Pain Between Eye Nose
My eyes have become slight reddish in the edge (near to the nose). And also itching frequently. What may b d reason and what care I can take?
Allergy: The most common cause of redness in the inner corners and itch is ocular allergy. A trip to your eye doctor can confirm the diagnosis and rule out other causes. There are many good otc and prescription allergy medications. I would avoid, however, the otc allergy drops which are also redness relievers because they can be addicting which sometimes can lead to more frequent use and toxicity. ...Read more

Eye/Nose pressure: Pressure in this area is often caused by nasal/sinus congestion and may be a direct result of swelling of the tissues inside the nose and sinuses. It could be the start of some allergy symptoms, a cold or even a sinus infection. All of these can give the sense of pressure between the eyes. If nasal drainage is clear, try some nasal saline. This is just a bit of a wierd quirk I wanna find out, if I hold my nose closed and try to blow through it air whistles out around my eyes... why?
Incompetent valve: Your nasal lacrimal duct (NLD) system (that which drains tears into your nose) has one-way valves so that tears only flow into the nose. Some people's valves are incompetent and blowing the nose causes pressure-induced back flow of "snot" or air back into the eye (s). If you had a procedure to dilate the NLD system in the past, this may have violated the valvular mechanism. ...Read more
