A sure Dx may need: Imaging of some type or at least a direct exam might be needed to know for sure, but if there is no pain otherwise, it could be an internal bruise or soft tissue injury from excessive coughing or sneezing. Related to breathing: Is that sharp pain in synch or can it be reproduced by breathing movements? If so, you're fine...just a little intercostal neuritic pain from a pinched nerve twig that will relieve itself in short. If that's not the case then, likely a transient GI glitch.
