What is causing left pain around the rib cage, especially after eating? I have been able to still pass gas and my bowels are regular. I have been taking Pepcid (famotidine) and Tums to alleviate the pain, neither have worked.

RUQ pain: Right Upper Quadrant pain with associated indigestion points to gall bladder or acid indigestion from a condition such as a Hypersecretory acid problem or Peptic ulcer, etc. Hiatal hernias can refer pain and indigestion o the RUQ too.
