Trauma?: Were you injured? Have you been lifting heavy objects or doing strenuous work? Your symptoms suggest a muscle strain or pull. Possibly even a bruised or broken rib, if you were injured. Most kidney problems that are associated with pain (infection, stone, tumor, obstruction) are associated with an abnormal urinalysis (significant blood and or leukocytes). RUQ pain: Right Upper Quadrant pain with associated indigestion points to gall bladder or acid indigestion from a condition such as a Hypersecretory acid problem or Peptic ulcer, etc. Hiatal hernias can refer pain and indigestion o the RUQ too. You may have "Sludge" in the Gall bladder that is not visible on the scan you had. Follow-up with the Dr. for further eval and treatments. Best wishes. ...Read more
