Pinched Nerves: Swollen lymph nodes in the arm pit is a concern for a physician. It is possible there are two different pathologies or conditions going on here. From the picture, it looks like there is climbing which could explain shoulder blade pain radiating to the neck and might be a pinched nerve. Some thoughts: A swollen painful lump in axilla (armpit) accompanied by pain on same side when lifting your arm is likely caused by an infection or inflammation of the sweat glands associated with hair follicles in axillary hair (hidradenitis suppurativa) or perhaps an irritation from deodorant. More likely muscle: Typically the sound is muscle sliding over a joint. It can pinch a nerve but more often catches tendon part. More info: In general, if the symptoms change with eating, it is likely gi. If the discomfort getw worse with physical activity, cardiac causes may need to be considered. If it gets worse worse with movement of your shoulder or arm, it may be musculoskeletal or a pinched nerve. See your doctor. ...Read more
