?spastic colon: Your intestines could be spasming after passing hard stool.Ibs aka irritable bowel syndrome can cause cramping in the lower abdomen. It can be severe. Review your fiber intake and make dietary changes. Review your GI hygiene. Are you resisting the urge to go when your body gives you the cue? Not unusual: during menstruation the engorged uterus contracts to expel the menstrual blood. This is likely putting pressure on the surgical site. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. UTI probably: Extensive work up is reassuring. Yes chronic cystitis and urinary tract infection could cause low to mid back pain especially if there is an extension causing kidney infection. Diverticulosis: Diverticulosis can be there for a long time and do not cause symptoms. Most do not "show signs of it." Where is your persistent pain? and how many months after the colonoscopy? What else did they find on colonoscopy? And why was the colonoscopy done in the first place? I would look for what else is going on. Not saying colonoscopy is risks free, but diverticulosis is not one of my top suspects. ...Read more

Probably: Colon cancer is unlikely in your age group, but other GI and colon diseases can also cause such symptoms. Have you had your gallbladder evaluated? Remember, colon cancer has minimal symptoms and CT is NOT a great test for it. In sum though low yield I would likely recommend colonoscopy to you based on what I've read. ...Read more
