Pain After Cervical Biopsy
Biopsy is tissue removed by needle or cutting to remove part of a body part. It is usually a small amount of material that is processed by a pathologist. Most of the time it is stained and looked at through a microscope to arrive at a diagnosis. Special processes are done for some tissues or problems. The purpose is to tell what the problem is (diagnosis). ...Read more
Not designed for sex: There are billions of bacteria coming down into the anal-rectal area all day long... such as E. coli, Klebsiella, and all sorts of other species. Scientists say there are more bacteria in the intestinal tract than there are human cells in our entire body (we are outnumbered). To stay safe, an anus should be reserved for the activity it was designed for, just pooping. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
PAP test 1 year ok. Some back & side pain, stomach pain and hip pain. Dr examined cervix no redness or inflammation. Could it be cervical cancer?
Would seem unlikely: Failure rates of PAP smear are under 10%. This is why it is now a rare cancer. Would have to be cancer everywhere for pain to be everywhere and would be pretty obvious on any imaging study. cannot say in your particular case, not being there, but widespread pain is gnerally a reason for evaulations. ...Read more
I have right ovarian pain after intercourse i'm two years post hysterectomy from cervical cancer..Why the pain?
Scar tissue: Surgery results in post-operative healing--which generally gives you scarring. The scarring causes unusual pressure or pulling on the organs that remain, which can pull the nerves -- resulting in pain. Different positions may also result in more pain than others. Perhaps you can try something else that would be more comfortable. ...Read more

Pain for 10mths only after bone marrow biopsy at the site cancer doc said xray fine orthopedic said sciatica pinched nerve is this normal?
No: No, it would not be normal to have pain 10 months after a bone biopsy from the procedure itself. So possibilities include: the area that was biopsied is abnormal and causing pain, for example if the biopsy was done on a lesion that is still there; or you had a complication, or there is something else causing the pain (like when the doctor suggested it may be coming from a nerve in the back). ...Read more
Upper spinal and muscle pain after l5s1 lumbar discectomy sugery for 9 wks now,no fever but pain radiate to front rib for 2 days and sweat.normal?
Possibly: However, you should continue to see your spine surgeon regularly until at least 6 months post op and inform her or him of these symptoms. It is possible you are having a nerve impingement syndrome or muscle spasm. It should be fully evaluated, thus an MRI or EMG may be in order. Also have you started PT to strengthen your core, as that would be the next step !!! keep me posted. ...Read more

Having persistent neck pain and headache for 6 months now. Negative results of brain & cervical mri and emg ncv. Possibility of colon cancer?
Unrelated : Metastasis from colon cancer would have shown up on the MRI. I would ask your doctor if you have muscular neck pain that is also felt in the muscles of the head or if you have a chronic headache that seems to radiate down into the neck. You cannot have both. The two are treated differently. ...Read more
Cervical median branch block relieved my neck pain for 2 days then pain again. Did mbb again.Same result. Now it's time for ablation?
What is the cause: Medial branch blocks (mmb) of nerves anesthetize few hours, proving nerves carry pain signals to brain; ablation also temp (few mo). But what are actual peripheral pain transducers? Mbb does not reveal. Are pain transducers myofascia, muscles, tendons, ligaments, or nerves pinched at spine? True cure requires id of pain generator(s). See osteopath ; rule in/rule out candidate transducers. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
