Have a gallbladder?: Don't know but gallbladder pain can start on the front on the right and go to the back but occasionally from front to back and usually always in the upper middle. May be gas in large: This may be what we call the "splenic flexure syndrome" where we get gas in the large intestine where the intestine flexes from the tranversecolon to the left descending colon - across the top of the abdomen and down to the left side. Check with your PMD: The pattern of your pain is compatible possibly with a gall bladder problem but it could be coming from any other GI structure. I would check with your primary doctor first. Costochondritis: Costochondritis is inflammation of cartilage between the ribs and is associated with a viral illness, smoking, and other causes such as trauma to the area, physical activity straining the rib cage, arthritis and other causes.
