Is there a such as a respiratory doctor ? comes down my breathing I'm scared of..shallow breathing and different breathing patterns. Sometimes one breathe is 15 sec long inhale shallowI can't feel that heart pounding feeling when I run or workout.

Hr of 116 o2 sat 97%: Should be a above the normal rate, what is your rate at rest? 60-70? then should be 80-90 for a light walk, however young people have faster heart rates than tthe elderly, therefore you may fall into the normal parameters . Can clonidine lower heart rate? Having POTS, my HR is usually 115 on a good day. The past 2 weeks it's been as low as 40 bpm.
Yes: Loweing heart rate is a side-effect of this centrally acting anti-hypertensive. For a paitent with POTS, I donot believe Clonidine is the best drug for treatment of hypertension becuase of its effect on the autonomic system. See a cardiologist or electrophysiologist, and get another antijypertensive. Note, when weaning off clonidine, you can also get a rebound hypertension.
