I was prescribe Oxycodone HCL 10mg for chronic pain. Was does HCL means? Can I safely cut the pill in half with a pill cutter?

In general, scored..: ..tablets can always be split in half. Oxycodone 10 mg. Does have scoring (line down middle of pill) so yes you can split it with a pill cutter. If the tablet is not scored then, although it can be cut with a pill cutter and many people may do this, the pill should NOT be cut. Check with your pharmacist or physician but in this case you should be able to split the pill. ...Read more

Can I use oxycodone acetaminophen 5-325 so I can try anal sex? I don't want that pain of the head entering the anal openning.

Which is most effective; hydrocodone, fentanyl, oxycodone, or methadone?

Which is most effective; hydrocodone, fentanyl, oxycodone, or methadone?

No such thing: It is not what is most effective, it is what is best for you. I am sure your doctor will choose the safest type of opioid to treat your pain and see how you respond. If you do not respond, then he/she may try a different opioid. The most important thing is to find out what is causing a pain bad enough to require and opioid. ...Read more

Doctors, how much Xanax (alprazolam) can I safely take with oxycodone?

Doctors, how much Xanax (alprazolam) can I safely take with oxycodone?

Depends on the dose: The combination of the two drugs can be dangerous. Xanax (alprazolam) is a sedative, and oxycodone can cause respiratory depression, meaning you could get into a situation where you breathing is obstructed and you're too sedated to do anything about it. Talk the doctor prescribing these meds about whether taking any amount of the two together is safe. ...Read more

True.: Klonopin is a long-acting benzodiazepine and Oxycodone is a long-acting opiate and can depress the respiratory function. They are also both habit-forming. The Cymbalta (duloxetine) will also help with neuropathic pain and instead of increasing the opiate if your pain is still not controlled adding Gabapentin might help. Your PCP could also refer you to a pain center for other pain control measures. ...Read more

Which of these has nightmares as a side effect? Oxycodone, percocet, celecoxib, or diazepam (valium)?

Hard to Say: Side effects of most medications are turning out to be highly individualistic and sometimes based upon genetic susceptibility! This is fairly new research. But, it suggests that any specific side effect is not necessarily going to happen to you.

That said, with the exception of celecoxib, these drugs are narcotics and/or sedative/hypnotics and can cause "dysphoric" feelings and hallucinations. ...Read more
