Do you use makeup?? If so change to a hypoallergenic brand. The most common cause of symptoms you describe in women is makeup combined with DRYNESS of the skin due to the drying effect many brands of face powder have. If you do not wear makeup use MOISTURIZING cream. Sometimes simply sitting in the bathroom and running a steaming shower can help!

Not sure why your doctor would not answer this question.
