Depends: Some of my patients are taking following for many years, and do not feel any need to increase the dose. Some of them are getting addicted pretty quickly. First signs are: you need to take more to achieve the same effect; it does not work as long; you are anxious while on the medication; he cannot fall asleep unless you take your usual dose, etc. ...Read more
Depends: If you mean what is it used for, it isused to calm anxiety and agitation or to treat alcohol withdrawal. If it is working correctly you should feel calmer inside and maybe less jittery. If the dose is low and you are not sensitive, you may feel a little tired, all the rest of the feelings of Oxazepam are really side effects. You shouldn't "feel" much if properly used. ...Read more
Safety of benzo: Benzodiazepine, the group that encompass valium [diazepam], serax [oxazepam], Ativan [lorazepam] are very safe but not made to be used for a long time as they only treat symptoms while the main problem is left untreated. And a good doctor never prescribe those for more than 3 months. No sane doc would prescribe both Lorazepam and oxa together. ...Read more
How long does oxazepam 30 mg stay in your system. I take 20 tablets a day and have a Urine test to complete.
20 tablets?: That sounds like a huge dose. That means the patient should be working with 1 primary care doctor and 1 psychiatrist... with only 1 doctor prescribing any and all drugs with addiction or abuse potential. The drug probably stays around for several days when using normal doses, and likely longer for huge doses. Bad things happen if the drug is suddenly stopped. A urine test should be an honest one. ...Read more
I have recently failed a drug tust for oxazepam and there is no way it could be in my system i take maca and dandellion for natural fertility ?
Depends on dose: Unfortunately, without knowing the dose of each - it's impossible to say. However, both temazepam and oxazepam have decent half lives (roughly 8 hours) - so short interval dosing shouldn't be needed at therapeutic doses. Wish there was a better answer - Hope that helps! ...Read more
How long after same day sedated oral surgery, can I start taking 15 mgs.of Oxazepam? I take this med on a daily bases.
I have been prescribed alprazolam & oxazepam for a long flight, what is a medical safe amount to take together. I need to sleep for my anxiety?
Similarities: Hi. Both of this benzo's have a similar half-life, although alprazolam hits faster. You probably don't need to take BOTH since they have the same mechanism of action and duration of action. Talk with the prescribing doctor about this, and whether he/she thinks you need BOTH. Good luck and travel safely! ...Read more

I took two pills last night. One oxazepam 30 mg and one Xanax (alprazolam) 2 mg and it helped my anxiety and sleep a lot! is this a good thing? I woke refreshed.
Not really: Oxazepam is and benzodiazepine and works on gaba receptors. Marijuana has its own receptors. On the other hand, marijuana withdrawal, if such exists, might present with anxiety and Oxazepam will help for that. If you say you're withdrawing from marijuana, where you depressed to begin with? ...Read more
Will alprazolam show a false positive for nordiazepam and or oxazepam. The confirmation test was done via gc/ms from the lab i use. ?
Probably yes: My educated "guess" is that most drug blood screening is geared toward "groups" or "classes" of substances. Alprazolam, diazepam, lorazepam, and the others you mentioned are all considered to be in the class of benzodiazopine derivatives. Use of any of them will trigger a positive response, but is not specific to which is in your system. Other classes include thc, cocaine, crystal meth, etoh, etc. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
