Potential. Uncommon: All meds have potential side effects, & this is no different. Potential side effects of this type of med include GI upset, ulcers/gastritis, kidney probs, elevated blood pressure, fluid retention, rash, abnormal liver tests, ringing in your ears, & more. Not likely: Not the best choice-they are quite similar: that'd be like taking advil + Aleve together. If you need that much pain relief (and you have no reason not to take tylenol (acetaminophen)), i'd use tylenol (acetaminophen) with 1 or the other for pain relief.
