Good about taking loestrin 24 fe for 2 years. Missed one pill 2 weeks ago, took 2 at the regular time the next day. Is that enough time to ovulate?

Missed pill: Usually you can miss one pill a month and still be safe. However, you are on a low dose pill, so a condom backup is probably the safe choice this month. ...Read more

Been on microgestin fe for 5 days. Is cramping from the pill, ovulation or possible implantation?

Been on microgestin fe for 5 days. Is cramping from the pill, ovulation or possible implantation?

Possibly: Any birth control pill can cause cramping and other symptoms, but if you had unprotected sex before starting this pill and you have taken it just for 5 days pregnancy is a possibility so i would recommend to get tested for that. Another possibility is infection which in order to be confirmed needs to be checked by your gyn provider. ...Read more

If you're on a loestrin 24 fe how likely are you to ovulate on 1 day you miss it 16 days into the cycle? (took 2 next day and Plan B day after)

Not likely : Missing one pill usually does not affect birth control pills efficacy. Taking Plan B on top of that should have prevented ovulation as well. To be sure check a pregnancy test in 10 days but i suspect you are okay. Also when you forget to take a pill don't have sex that day. ...Read more

I am on Lo Estrin Fe birth control. I bled during my ovulation but have not gotten my period. Should I be worried? I'm supposed to be menstruating.

No bleeding on BCP's: The level in Lo Estrin may be too low for you to have adequate uterine stimulation to respond to the Progesterone in Lo Esrin to cause a bleed I would not be concerned. If you are happy with the pill I suggest that you stay on it. ...Read more

For : For the future and for anyone reading this post, if you do not understand your doctor's instructions, you should call the office and let the staff know you need clarification. They will ask the doctor and someone should call you back by the end of the business day. It is difficult to ask a question such as yours in a forum like this because we do not know all the details of your case and what your doctor was trying to accomplish with the medication regimen.
Hopefully everything is sorted out by now.
All the best. ...Read more

While taking junel fe 21 can you have your period while taking the active pills or will the cycle always start the week you don't take any pills?

Yes but.....: When you take birth control pills (BCPs) you typically have no bleeding while on the active pills but then have your menses 2-4 days into the placebo pills (not active pills). If you have bleeding while on the active pills it is more likely breakthrough bleeding (progesterone dominant effect). If you are just starting the BCPs it may take your body 2-3 months to adjust to the hormones. ...Read more

I’ve been on Junel Fe 1/20 BC for about 2 years now. Could that be the cause of vag. Dryness? ..No infections. & Safe way to get more estrogen?

Evaluation: If you are 20 years old and on birth control pills then it is highly unlikely that you are suffering from a lack of estrogen. This is not likely the cause of vaginal dryness. Consider an over the counter product like Replens or Prevaleaf Oasis. An Obgyn can do an exam and make sure there is not an infection ...Read more

Recently switched from Junel Fe to Microgestin Fe. I have been on Microgestin Fe for over two months now and haven't had a period. Is this normal?
