Is a 40 day cycle considered regular or irregular? When does ovulation occur?

Depends: If your 40 day cycle is the same every month then it is regular. Regular just means whether your cycles occur on a regular basis. Ovulation supposedly occurs 14 days before your period starts. So if your cycle is normally 40 days apart, then your ovulation would be at about day 25 of your cycle. ...Read more

How do you know when you are ovulating if your cycle is 40 days, are there natural herbs to help?

Why do so many dr.'s have diff. Opinions on what cd is too late to ovulate on? Some say past cd18, some say cd16 what is the truth to this or is there

The truth: It depends on the length of a women's cycle. You generally ovulate approximately 14 days from the length of your cycle. In other words, if your cycle is 28 days, you ovulate on day 14, 30 days, day 16, 32 days day 18, 26 days day 12. So making love every other day from day 12-18 covers you for ovulation for a day 26-32 day cycle. Make sense? Hope this helps. ...Read more

What cycle day does ovulation occur if I have a 40 day cycle my cycle is irregular though?

Difficult to say: If your cycles are irregular, it is difficult to predict ovulation. We can retrospectively tell when ovulation occurred by counting back from your menses. Your menses will always start 14 days after ovulation. It is the 1st half of the cycle that varies. Of course if you are irregular, you may not be ovulating each month. See your gyn for an evaluation and treatment. Best of luck! ...Read more
