Doctor insights on:
Ovulation And Breast Lumps
What does a breast lump feel like? Noticed raised movable circle abt 2 fingers wide. Feels like other tissue just raised. During ovulation
Get medical checkup: Most breast lumps can be felt as harder tumors but you need to use the flat part of your fingers rolled over the area of concern. If you feel a distinct MASS/LUMP, WHICH IS HARDER THAN REST OF your breast, then you should get it checked by your doctor for the sake of confirmation.
My breasts are very painful. I have no lumps, I'm not on my period or pms, and I ovulated 5 days ago so this isn't pregnancy related What could it be?
Need more info: Your symptoms can be as a result of many things. At your age it is quite uncommon for the cause to be cancer. It could be due to something simple like fluid retention or an ill fitting bra or hormone imbalance. You really should see your primary care physician for an exam to get an answer and ease your mind.
Maybe: Breast swelling/congestion is pretty common but I'm afraid it's also non-specific. Sorry, 'maybe' is all I can say.
A day or two: Breast fullness and tenderness should go away in 1-2 days or at most 3-5 days, if it continues see your doctor.
Either: You might feel these things before, during, or after; they're not specific.
Possible: I suppose that is possible but seems not very likely.
Breast soreness: It is not unusual to have soreness around the breasts before and after the time of ovulation. This is normal.
I should be ovulating but have no discharge. Also my breasts remained bigger after my last period. Is ths normal?
8 weeks post op hysterectomy everything but ovaries. Breasts swell and hurt ALL THE TIME. Not just with ovulation. Normal? Permanent? Why??!
Contact your surgeon: Even though your ovaries are still present, the amount of circulating hormone may be disproportionate with estrogen only being secreted. This happens when ovulation is not ongoing and able to produce progesterone to balance the "equation" resulting in breast swelling. Contact your GYN surgeon and find out what is going on in your case.
Hi I supposedly ovulated on the 9/10, my breast was really soar (sensitive)on the 9/14, Today my breast are feeling abit warmer? What can it be
No: How your breasts feel tells you nothign at all to do with whether you ovulated.
