Flonase: Steroid nasal sprays may take up to 2 weeks to have a full effect but usually start working after 3-4 days of use. Give it more time. On the other hand, in your case, anxiety may trigger a reflexive "clearing" throat irritating the pharynx enough to produce excessive mucous.
