I have mild ulcerative colitis, w/ few GI effects but much knee pain. Does knee-stressing exercise like slowly climbing stairs hurt or help my knees?
Nearly two-thirds of the United States population is overweight. There are many ways to determine if a person is overweight, but experts believe that a person's body mass index (BMI) is the best way to assess an adult's weight in relation to their height. * A BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered normal. * Adults with a BMI between 25 and 29.9 are considered overweight. Treatment has two goals: reduce pain and strengthen muscles around the knee. Hv dedicated PT. ...Read more
My right knee has been bothering me since Sat. Hurts to go up&downstairs. I did alot of walking and climbing stairs this past week. Some advice please?

Don't overdo any of these but you can use cold packs or a bottle of cold water and a gently wrapped 4-6" Ace as a form of first aid treatment. Will probably subside but you can add Alleve or Motrin if you don't have stomach problems. ...Read more
