What is the treatment for vaginal tear?

Repair: Depends what caused it, if it is new it can be repaired by sewing it. If it is older it can still be repaired but it would be possible more involved. If is is small sometimes topical meds can be applied to heal it. You need to see your obgyn to be evaluated.

How do we determine between a normal vaginal tear and STI's in the vagina? +how do you cure a tear in your vagina and make it heal faster?

Depends on the cause: The various entities that can cause a vaginal tear predicate how it is treated and how long that will take. In other words, it is necessary to identify the source of the vaginal tear (injury, STD, infection, etc.) to give the best answer as to how long that will take to heal.

Treatment for very small vaginal tear (caused by intercourse) that has become mildly infected?

???: Pretty unlikely for vaginal tear to get infected. You may have something else going on. Usual treatment for small vaginal tears is to do nothing or to consider warm baths. If this does not heal up right away may want to see doc.

I have a vaginal tear that doesn't hurt and I've never had sex. What could have cause the tear?

Unsure: A tear implies some degree of trauma. If you have not had any trauma to the area, then a fissure is more likely than a tear. A fissure can result from irritation due to yeast, allergy, or bacterial overgrowth. You should see you physician for evaluation and treatment.

Does anyone have any successful 4 degree vaginal tear repairs?

Does anyone have any successful 4 degree vaginal tear repairs?

Yes: Obviously, the more extensive (i.e. Higher degree) the vaginal tear, the harder it is to repair and recover but with modern surgical techniques, it should be possible. In fact, these techniques are so successful that we almost never see the sequelae of these injuries such as fistulas (openings between the rectum and vaginal or between the bladder and vagina) in this country any more.

How much is vaginal tear surgery hurt?

How much is vaginal tear surgery hurt?

It depends.: Everyone's pain threshold can be different. Most patients might require some narcotic pain medicine for a few days to a week or two at the most. In general, as unlikely as it might seem to be, surgery in this area is extremely well tolerated and recovery tends to be relatively rapid.

How do I treat vaginal tear in newborn girl?

How do I treat vaginal tear in newborn girl?

Question confusing?: Do you see a tear? Do you just see blood? A newborn girl may have a little menstrual blood as a reflection of the hormones of pregnancy on the babies uterus. It can start after a day or two but seldom after a week. It is rarely more than what would cover a few q-tips. If that is what you see, it will slow & stop. If you see bright red blood or some injury, have it evaluated by a pediatrician.

Bled while having sex and on/off spotting after having sex. If this is just a vaginal tear how long will it take to heal? If not, what is wrong?

Bleeding: A vaginal tear is usually associated with pain. Vaginal tears if minor will heal in a few days. If you bleeding is painless and you notice it after sex I would be concerned for a cervical problem. You should see your provider.

Vaginal tear from sex 2 mnths ago. Waited 3 wks after to have sex, but still hurts every time (well lubricated).Same partner for years, this is recent.

Vaginal tear from sex 2 mnths ago. Waited 3 wks after to have sex, but still hurts every time (well lubricated).Same partner for years, this is recent.

Several causes: There could have been some damage to a suprafiscal nerve or the pain from the tear could have caused you to unconsciously tighten your vaginal muscles as a reflex to prevent the pain from happening again. See your gynecologist for an exam to see what is going on. The earlier it is treated the better the outcome. Good luck
