Splinting: This depends on how severe it is. If there is excessive pain and findings suggesting severe nerve involvement on emg, you may need surgery. Otherwise routine treatment consist of wearing a hand splint during the day (night if you can tolerate) and anti inflammatory meds. A carpal tunnel steroid injection may help as well.
