Meds & therapy: Borderline personality disorder is often the result of childhood trauma. It results in emotions and relationships being chaotic much of the time. Medication and therapy work best together. Xanax is not a long term answer. However, long term therapy that includes trauma, relaxation, dbt and relationship therapies can be very helpful.
