What are the symptoms of oral HPV? Are the lesions/warts painful? Is there any over the counter treatment for them like creams/pills...etc? Help
Usually no symptoms: Oral HPV infections are not rare, but a lot less common than genital ones. Almost all oral HPV infections are asymptomatic and invisible: no warts, bumps, pain, burning, or anything else. When warts do appear, they are painless bumps, often with a "cauliflower" appearance. There are no recommended OTC treatments. Happily, oral HPV is rarely dangerous. If you suspect oral warts, see your doctor. ...Read more
Treatments/ creams that I can buy over the counter for small cuts on 'perineum' the skin between vagina and anus?
Consult Dr.Walgreens: Any over-the-counter antibacterial ointment or cream will do, in addition to meticulous personal hygiene and trying to avoid whatever caused those 'small cuts' in the first place. Plus a small piece of tissue to help minimize staining of underwear or clothing. If any serious swelling or pain develops get it seen by a doctor. Infections in that area can get out of hand (and out of groin). ...Read more

I've had folliculitis in the vaginal area for years now, what is the best treatment for the scarring and itch it has created?
Stop shaving?: If you have been shaving the area, stop. That may be the main problem, perhaps the only problem. If pubic area hair control remains important, consider a hair removal cream instead. If not shaving, other factors may be important -- for example, you may be carrying virulent staph or strep. If you haven't yet seen a dermatologist, consider it now. She or he should be able to sort this out. Good luck ...Read more
What hair removal cream is okay for the pubic area down by the vagina and armpit ? And over-the-counter cream in case of rash?
Hair removal creams: As a dermatologist, i can tell you that over the counter products for hair removal very seldom work. Laser hair removal is the most effective, but expensive. Vaniqa (eflornithine) is a cream that can be used to reduce dark hairs, usually prescribed for facial hair, but could be effective in the armpits and groin. It is not covered by insurance. Hydrocortisone 1% cream for otc tx of rashes. ...Read more
