On 10th day follicular monitoring result shows rt ovary follicles sizes 19, 18, 18, 17mm and endometrial thickness 7.7mm. Plz tell me is it normal. M ttc?

No: The sizes of the follicles are fine, but the uterine lining is thin. Normally by that time, especially with follicles that are large, the lining is closet to 10 or 12 mm. That could be a problem. You might need a different type of treatment. ...Read more

I hve polycystic ovaries follicles size less 0.6cm. Hve two kids 3 and 1year old. Want to ask for this cyst as I m worried?

No need to worry.: As an egg matures in the ovary and is about to rupture, it forms a small cyst that gradually moves to the margin of the ovary, so a 0.6 cm cyst is not unusual or cause for worry. ...Read more

Hi I had Clomid (clomiphene) 100 mg having lt ovary follicle size 17mm in 13 th day with minimal fluid in uterus. When do I ovulate?

Possibly day 17: Follicles are usually mature at approximately 20 or so millimeters in maximum diameter. Follicles usually grow approximately 2 mm per day. On day 15 the follicle will probably be mature then release approximately two days later on day 17 of the cycle. ...Read more

Madam my ovaries are in normal size and shows multiple, small follicles predominantly located in the peripherywith ecogenic central storma. Wat it means?

Multiple small cysts: This could be normal but it is also suggestive of the ultrasound findings frequently associated with polycystic ovarian syndrome. You need to discuss it with the person who ordered the ultrasound. An ultrasound alone does not make a diagnosis. Your history and physical exam must also be considered. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Endometrium increased from 4.3 mm to 12.6 mm. Tiny follicles size increased from 3-4 mm to 4-5mm. Ovary increased 15.5 cc in right and 12.6cc in left?

Changes: 12-15mm is a good post ovulation/premenstrual endometrial thickness, but the follicles are still a bit small for ovulation. A mature follicle is more like 15-21mm. Of course it would help to know what cycle day your US was done. ...Read more

Time: Clomid (clomiphene) doesn't work every time. In some women, it has an opposite effect. We like to see at least 16mm follicle for a mature egg. Your doctor may make more adjustments to the dose and days you take it to see if you get a better response. There are other meds like Femara that also induce ovulation. See your doctor for further evaluation. ...Read more

What does it mean endometrial stripe is thin, 0.6cm &both ovaries are normal in size with thinly scattered follicle cysts less than 1.7cm?

Normal: That is a completely normal ultrasound report for your age. The uterine lining (endometrial stripe) is minimally thickened and the small cysts are immature eggs that will potentially mature and ovulate in the future. ...Read more

I'm ttc. My dr told to take follicular study on 12th day. My report was right ovary 42*34 mm sized cyst? Follicular cyst. Left small follicle.

Limited Information: Almost impossible to help you with this information. There are so many different scenarios this represents. The most likely is a left over follicle from the last cycle that didn't physically ovulate (lufs syndrome). This is not indicative of any serious problem. You could also have ovulated just before the u/s test. But based on no "ovulatory" follicle, ? Anovulatory cycle this time. ...Read more

U/s of left ovary was 23x15x29mm at 6wks pregnant.2mos postpartum it's 40x17x18mm with multiple bilateral follicles. No suspisous lesions or vascularity. How can it change in shape/size?

They do: Ovaries constantly change their size. Every month the ovary has a cyst grow (follicle) where the egg matures. The follicle grows from 5mm to 15-30 mm at time of ovulation, then the egg is released and the cyst size goes down. The ovay is very dynamic, making eggs, recruiting follicles for future cycles.
What u described is quite normal. ...Read more
