Not a cyst cause: In general, an ovarian cyst does not cause vaginal bleeding during pregnancy. The usual causes would be an issue with the placenta, a growth on the cervix, premature labor, for instance. Not really: It depends on the size and type of cysts. If larger than 7 CM (size of a tennis ball) they can twist and cause severe pain & require surgery. If they don't have cancer characteristics (they look non-cancerous on ultrasound), leave them alone.
