What are my chances of concieveing with IVF if I have decreased ovarian reserve and severe endo?

Endometriosis/DOR: It depends on several factors. Knowing your day 2/3 fsh/ Estradiol and your amh levels and antral count would help to evaluate your chance for success. Still, you are young and may have more choices to consider. ...Read more

Ivf (Definition)

In vitro fertilization is an assisted reproductive technology. Ivf is a procedure used to treat fertility problems and assist with the conception of a child. During ivf mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a lab. A few days later, the fertilized egg (embryo) or eggs are implanted into the uterus. One cycle of in vitro fertilization ...Read more

My AMH is 7.12 is that indicates good ovarian reserve for IVF ?

My AMH is 7.12 is that indicates good ovarian reserve for IVF ?

Sort of: AMH is produced by the cells around the early eggs. The number you want is above 1. You clearly have that. However anytime the AMH is above 4 it may indicate the patient has an issue called: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Women with PCOS may have a lot of eggs but sometimes have issues releasing those eggs and in IVF sometimes have poor outcomes (no success). Talk to your doctor. ...Read more

Tough to say: The odds are against you, but statistically, with the numbers you have provided, there is always a chance, albeit small. Keep trying and keep seeing the fertility specialsit. Best wishes. ...Read more

R sided hemm. Ovarian cyst 46.6mmx41.9x45.9 volume 46.9ml. history endoand decreased ov reserve n/v, pain how long does it take to absorb?Waiting to do ivf

It may not absorb: If it is truly a hemorrhagic cyst it should resolve in 4-6 weeks if not sooner. If it is an endometrioma, it may not resolve on its own and may require surgery to improve your ivf outcome. I recommend you talk to your reproductive endocrinologist about strategy here. You don't want to lose time if you have diminished ovarian reserve. ...Read more

37 year old IVF patient with decreased ovarian reserve. Should i continue trying or use donor eggs?

It depends: Donor eggs will clearly be the better option for having a healthy baby. There is no question that the chance of having a healthy baby is lower if you try to use your own eggs, especially when you have decreased reserve. If you already tried ivf but didn't get pregnant, it might be worth another try as long as you stimulated well and had 5 or more eggs. Otherwise i think donor eggs are best. ...Read more

Please help will taking bcp shrink a hemorrhagic ovarian lg cyst? Had for 7 weeks and keeps getting larger. history endo and dor waiting for IVF after cyst

Ovarian Cyst: This suggests that this cyst is not being regulated by hormones (ocs) and its likely not going to respond. You may need surgery to have it removed in order to move to ivf. This can also be an endometrioma with your history and you need this corrected prior to ivf. Good luck! ...Read more

Does multiple ivf treatments cause a risk of ovarian cancer?

Does multiple ivf treatments cause a risk of ovarian cancer?

No: It increases your risk of bankruptcy, at least in the US. You state that you are only 28. Have you and your spouse had a full infertility workup. In the US, unless you had your Fallopian tubes tied or scarred, no reputable Ob-Gyn would consider you as a candidate for IVF. Maybe you some other issue that you have revealed yet?? ...Read more

The night after IVF ET, fresh transfer, I had strong cramps and ovarian pain for one hour. It is possible to have expelled the two embryos?

Unlikely: What a stressful time and source of worry! I would probably have called my fertility specialist if I were you, but expelling the embryos is unlikely. Many factors are working together to try to get them to implant, and these factors are stronger than you would think. I wouldn't worry about the cramps, etc. Just try to keep calm, breathe deeply, follow your doctor's instructions, and believe! ...Read more

4cm hem ovarian cyst history endo and dor why am i so painful and nauseated its not that lg of a cyst history of 3 laps for endo and bad adhes.Waiting 2 do ivf?

Cysts hurts : Hemorrhagic cysts and endometriosis are both common causes of pain. Since you are planning on ivf treatment options are going to be limited but i would certainly discuss the issues with your ivf specialists. Together you will decide whether to proceed with ivf or deal with cysts and endometriosis first. ...Read more

I have adhensions in falubian tube and ovaries and I have small ovarian cysts over ovary.Dr said i must do IVF is it difficult how much success rate?

Depends: For women age 26 when infertility is only due to a tubal disease the success of ivf is relatively high. Here in the us we have a success rate of approximately 50%-60% chance of pregnancy with one ivf cycle. The success rate could be higher or lower based on other factors such as the condition of the sperm, the number of eggs retrieved etc.. ...Read more

My first IVF cycle is in two weeks and I have found out thati am not immune to measles. Time is a factor since i haverecurring ovarian cysts. Should I have this vaccine?

IVF and MMR: If you haven't started taking the stimulation medications, it may be better to delay the cycle start and get the vaccine now. It would only delay the cycle by another week or 2. If you've already started the medications to stimulate your ovaries, you can still go ahead with the cycle and even get pregnant. You'd get the vaccine after the first trimester of pregnancy. ...Read more
