I have ovarian cysts. I feel a bubble down by my clitoris but it's inside. It hurts. Is this a cyst? I got them before but they usually go away.
See your GYN: A "bubble" near the clitoris which is "inside" is still close enough to the surface not to be an ovarian cyst. It might be a Bartholin's cyst which has gotten large enough to be felt near the clitoris, though those glands are generally further towards the base of the labia. In any case, it's something you should have looked at by your GYN doctor, to see if it needs antibiotics or drainage. ...Read more

It doesn't: Duphaston is a progestin hormone, and is used to bring on a period in someone not ovulating or to prevent overgrowth of the uterine lining. It has also been used to treat endometriosis. I think your issue is not related to your ovarian cysts. It sounds like you are having a respiratory issue (i.e. Asthma) a psychological issue (panic attack) or a heart issue (decreased blood flow to the heart or an enlarged heart). Regardless, this is a serious issue that needs prompt medical attention. Please see your primary care provider right away. Also you need to follow up with your doctor regarding your cysts. If they are in fact as large as you say they are you will likely need a surgical procedure.
Best of luck. ...Read more
I've gained weight since turning 40. It's as if my metabolism completely shut down. I'm on the pill for ovarian cysts, can this be the culprit?
Definitly not: Ovarian cysts do not cause weight gain or slowing of the metabolism. Perhaps you are thinking of polycystic ovarian syndrome where weight gain and slow metabolism cause the ovary to exhibit typical finding of multiple small 1 cm cysts. These cysts are a result not the cause. ...Read more

Referred pain: It is hard to tell the cause of your symptoms. It is possible that you have referred pain. However your brain and spinal cord interprets the problem coming from your legs instead in the form of tingling. Check with your physician for proper care. ...Read more

I have a 93mm unilocular midline ovarian cyst, possibly cystadenoma. Pain in lower buttock down leg, very restricted urination.
Need removal: Typically a CA-125 level would be checked to help determine the likelihood of malignancy. Sounds low based on the US findings. Regardless, the mass should be removed to relieve your symptoms and so that a pathologist can evaluate the ovary. Most times both tubes and ovaries would be removed and sometimes the uterus. 5cm ovarian cyst doc said functional cyst monitored for 6 wks & stayed the same. Will birth control help it go down or go away? I'm ttc
Probably not: Contraceptive pills are no longer considered useful or effective for treating a suspected "functional ovarian cyst" whether it is follicular cyst or a corpus luteum cyst. It is difficult to predict if or when a functional ovarian cyst "will go down or go away". It is also quite difficult even after 6 weeks to tell for sure if a 5 cm ovarian cyst is benign or malignant. Consult a Gyn oncologist. ...Read more
