I was prescribed Cephalexin for a cyst- 3 a day for 7 days. On day 3, I have developed a yeast infection. Can I ask for diflucan (fluconazole)?

Yes: Sure, no problem. Fluconazole (Diflucan) and cephalexin (Keflex) won't interfere with each other. However, you should first check with the doctor who prescribed the cephalexin and see if s/he would like to check for sure whether you have a yeast infection and/or approve the treatment.

I have a sebaceous cyst on my arm pit that has a yeast infection. Is there any way to get rid of the yeast infection?

Yeast in your armpit: Is not a common area for infection unless you have predisposing problems such as hidradenitis suppurtiva. But if its a superficial infection, most over the counter antifungals will work for you. If its more refractory, you will have to see your local physician for further treatment.

I think that I have a Bartholin Cyst. I noticed it earlier today as a HARD lump near my labia minora area. I thought I just had a yeast infection.

Possible: I would recommend having it looked at by gynecologist. If it gets painful, red, inflamed or associated with fever then go to ER. May try a warm compress, warm wash cloth, or soaking in warm water in the meantime if it bothering you.

Painful intercourse, sharp pain inside of right hip, recurrent sebaceous cysts, and "traveling" yeast infections (head, belly button) what dr do I see?

Painful intercourse: May be infection like yeast or I have seen issues with mycoplasma/ ureoplasma overgrowth. (they are normally in the bowel) or strep, BV I sometimes treat with triple treatment with flagyl, doxycyline - if not pregnant- and then clotirmazole/diflucan and see if helps. A May also be ovarian cysts, check sonogram, Would follow up with GYN

Can mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD strings cause infections? An ovarian cyst formed for me and the mirena (levonorgestrel) string is caught in it! Help!

Can mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD strings cause infections? An ovarian cyst formed for me and the mirena (levonorgestrel) string is caught in it! Help!

Not really: Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud strings do not cause infection, nor have anything to do with an ovarian cyst. The ovary will creat a so called cyst for the ovulation process. Iud's do not cause infection, but sexual behavior can put you at risk for infection regardless of the prescence of iud.

Can an ovarian cyst cause urinary tract infections? Have gotten a UTI two months in a row following growth and pain in ovarian cyst.

It is unlikely: That an ovarian cyst will cause a UTI. However, some women may experience similar symptoms which may be mistaken for a UTI. Careful testing of the urine is required to rule out UTI. It is easy to overdiagnose UTI. I hope you feel better soon
