Talk to your GYN: Your personal GYN can best answer for your specific case, but generally if the cyst is enlarging and causing symptoms by pressing against your colon it may be best treated surgically. No: Most of the time in young women these cysts are functional/hemorrhagic cysts and resolve by themselves. If they keep enlarging, or become more symptomatic, surgery may be indicated. Agreed: Agreed- you may need surgery to stop the hemorrhaging and the gyn is the doc to see for this determination. Don't wait too long if you're in that much pain. ...Read more

The cyst: is (as it's name infers) is NON-FUNCTIONAL (Produces NO HORMONES) and is BENIGN (Internal septum indicates usually benign contents) YOU SHOULD NOT WORRIED ..its SIZE may make it a candidate for REMOVAL ..discuss with your GYNECOLOGIST for more information and the advisability for surgery.
