Hmm...: Well sciatica generally is not caused by anything in the abdomen, so highly unlikely the fluid from ovarian cyst caused your sciatica. I would have your doctor get an MRI of your spine if your sciatica doesn't resolve in a week or two as the most likely culprit will be a herniated disc. ...Read more

Unlikely: Lifetime risk of cancer is 1 in 60-90. Small odds. It usually strikes women after the age of 45. There are other findings on an ultrasound that can suggest if its a benign or malignant looking cyst. if your gyn feels its safe to follow in 6 weeks, thats a normal approach. More evaluation: No. If endometriosis causes that pain you have a significant problem. You need to be evaluated for any endometriosis cysts and any fibroids that may be pressing in that region. If you stop hormones your may may get worse. ...Read more
