Not a cyst cause: In general, an ovarian cyst does not cause vaginal bleeding during pregnancy. The usual causes would be an issue with the placenta, a growth on the cervix, premature labor, for instance. You need to clarify with your doctor what the cause of the bleeding is to know how to treat. However avoid intercourse, heavy lifting or exercise for now would be reasonable. ...Read more

The most likely: Reason is irregular ovulation. Without cyclic changes in hormones estrogen is steadily produces causing growth of, then falling away of, the uterine lining. A 2mm cyst is barely detectable, sure not 6 cm? In any event, look up pcos. Do not despair if this is the problem; short term consider pill to prevent anemia.
