5 days ago I had an ovarian cyst removed...Biopsy results are not available yet. Hypoglycemia is out of control. Thoughts?
No: In my 35 years of practice, I have never seen a case of reactive hypoglycemia. The disorder doesn't exist, if you're overweight the symptoms are a natural response to your glucose level returning to normal. A glucose tolerance test (if you've had one) is not and never will be a valid diagnostic test for hypoglycemia. Don't waste your money o GTT or any fad diets of treatments. Lose wt if heavy. ...Read more

Ovarian Cyst: Most ovarian cysts, even larger ones, will usually resolve spontaneously in younger women. However, if it is very painful for you, you can have it removed by laparoscopic surgery. A camera is placed into the abdomen and it is removed through a tiny incision. It is an outpatient procedure. Hope this helps. ...Read more
Does tubal test hurt? I am a virgin. I have an ovarian cyst so I will be undergoing laparoscopic procedure. They will also do the tubal test..
I believe you are referring a test to see if your fallopian tubes are patent (chromopertubation). If done during the laparoscopy you will be under anesthesia and you won't feel it. Obviously you will have some pain from the surgery.
Are you trying to get pregnant? Don't see the need for it unless you have problems conceiving. ...Read more

Ovarian cysts: Most ovarian cysts can be removed laparoscopically which is an outpatient procedure. It is nowadays unusual to have to be inpatient for this. Davinci robot-assistance may facilitate a minimally invasive approach. ...Read more
A recent scan shows I have ovarian cyst and fibroid tumors. Can one surgical procedure take care of the cyst and fibroid tumors?
Yes: A laparoscopic procedure could likely take care of both procedures, depending on size and location of fibroid, in addition to skill of surgeon. Otherwise, they could also make a cut in the abdomen, like for a cesarean, and remove both as well that way. Again, all of this depends on the size and location of the cyst and fibroid. If the fibroid is in uterine lining, then a hysteroscopy better. ...Read more
