Ovarian Cyst And Thickened Endometrium
I have to keep being monitored for left ovarian cyst and thickened endometrium. I cannot take the pain of endometrial biopsies. First 2 were normal?
A cyst is a structure or mass that consists of a cellular lined sac. It is typically filled with fluid but may be filled with solid material. It can be congenital, traumatic, or acquired. Normal sized anteverted uterus with thickened endometrium ovarian cysts, bilateral normal sonogram of the cervix?
This sounds like the impression from a pelvic sonogram. Let me organize it for youl
1. Anteverted uterus with thickened endometrium (usually not important but depends on age, mentrual cycle and degree of thinking.
2. Bilateral ovarian cysts - not uncommon, need to know sizes and number of cysts.
3. Normal cervix.
I hope this helps. ...Read more
This is a job for Dr: Your responsibility to yourself is to get to a good doctor or obgyn and cooperate in the diagnosis and treatment plan determined for this. This is not a do-it-yourself problem for a home remedy. It might be helpful if you eat well, sleep well, get good exercise and avoid cell damaging activities. But see a pro as soon as possible. I have 22mm endometrium, galactorhea, thick walled ovarian cyst. My risperione intake has been reduced to 1mg every other day. Pls I need advice.
Risperidone is associated with hyperprolactinemia and galactorrhea. Lowering the dose may or may not help. Only time will
you will need a repeat us to check you lining and ovary. Both of these findings can be dependent on the timing of your cycle. If you are midcycle, you lining may be normal as well as your cyst.

Transvaginal Ultrasound 5mm mass, no bloodflow. 1.1cm endometrium; 1.5cm probable hemorrhagic ovarian cyst. Should I worry? Very heavy menses, IV Fe.
Sono not worrisome: The findings on your transvaginal sonogram do not seem to be cause for alarm but unfortunately they do not explain why you have "very heavy menses" and need IV Fe...which are "causes to worry". It would be good to consult a hematologist to rule out a blood coagulation disorder and a Reproductive Endocrinologist to find out why you may or may not be ovulating regularly and why you bleed heavily. ...Read more

Endometrium: Thickening of the endometrium during a normal menstrual cycle is due to estrogen prodcution by a follicle (which can appear as a cyst on ultrasound). There are some other cysts, like a granulosa cell tumor that also can make estrogen and thicken the endometrium. Taking estrogen can also thicken it. Polyps, fibroids and other conditions can also make the lining appear thicker on ultrasound. ...Read more

Same ovarian cyst for a year, discomfort sometimes. Ultrasound shows the same size but always there also endometrial thickening. Should I be concerned?
Probably ok: Small cyst are not uncommon and can cause pain. The thickening of the uterus can be related to your cycle (it varies throughout the month) at the time of the scan. If your cyst is stable in size over the last year and the pain is tolerable, probably not much to do about it. Just watch it. ...Read more
Had vaginal us to look at ovarian cyst. Showed endometrial thickening & 2 fibroids. My last period ended 5 days ago. Should this be looked at further?
What could replace tamoxiphen in second 5 years after breast cancer? Tamoxiphen caused me ovarian cyst and uterus thickening. Thanks
Letrozole: Tamoxifen for 5 years followed by Letrozole would be an option. However, technically you are still premenopausal so not an option. Another treatment which is controversial is to have your ovaries removes. There is data on 10 years of tamoxifen now but you may not want to do this. The other option would be observation. Hope this helps. ...Read more
Recently had a CT scan is it possible for a remarkably thickened sigmoid colon, bulky uterus, and ovarian cyst over 5cm to be related? Concerned
Guessing: This is hard to call form just a description of CT, not knowing any other clinical facts. Can say: 1) the bulky uterus is 100% unrelated to the other findings, the thickened sigmoid "may" be related to the ovarian cyst or vice-versa. A doctor who knows your whole history and exam could answer these for you, can't say more online. Good wishes ...Read more
