Mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 2 years ago she did was undergone a total hysterectomy followed by many cessions of chemotherapy. The last report for her MRI shows a newly discovered minimal ascetic fluid. Last ca 125 was 250 ?

However screening US are not recommended as there are many conditions that can cause ovarian enlargement besides cancer, most all of them benign. Depends.: A cystic ovarian lesion can be a benign cyst or a cystic neoplasm. Even a benign cyst can be difficult to diagnose on ct if it has blood (hemorrhagic) or debris inside it. A ct may not be able to discern a hemorrhagic cyst from a solid tumor. A cyst with a growth along its wall may be suspicious. An ultrasound may be useful. Recommend further ev: If there is sufficient update in the PET scan(SUV of >2.5), I would advise you to have another breat imaging study done.
