Pap and ovarian CA: First just remember a Pap test is only good for finding cervical CA. It doesn't find ovarian or uterine CA. That's why ovarian CA is called the silent CA and uterine CA presents with bleeding. Your abnormal pap is not even at a level where it would be CA yet. Doc may be right: I can not fully answer your question without knowing which chemotherapy drugs have been used (we have 5-6 good drugs for ovarian cancer). But once the cancer becomes resistant to all drugs then life is short...Usually a matter of months than years. It is likely a cance: A high ca 125 leads us to look for ovarian cancer as the most likely cause (sometimes it is due to primary perotoneal cancinoma or fallopean tube tumor). The ct scan may show some intraperitoneal disease or pelvic disease including ovarian massess. But she needs a biopsy proof of cancer and then will likely require treatment for ovarian cancer which often includes debulking surgery and chemotherapy. ...Read more

? Bladder infection: Your symptoms are more like those from infection of the urinary bladder (Cystitis).
