OB/GYN consult: It sounds like you have some dysfunctional or abnormal uterine bleeding and dysmenorrhea. Talk with your specialist in OB/GYN. See the link for tests you may need. Do you have a family history of ovarian cancer? Weight loss? If not, probably not a reason to worry. Don't worry: Many young women have irregular periods due to anovulatory cycles. Early miscarriages are common and are not necessarily an indication that you will have problems carrying a pregnancy to term. Irergular periods : Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. This is not related to a biopsy. Embryonal cell carcinomas, ovarian choriocarcinomas, mixed germ cell tumors, and some dysgerminomas are the only ovarian cancers that produce HCG (positive pregnancy test).
