Outside Edge Of The Foot Pain After Running
I have heel pain and foot pain on the outside of foot immediately in front of the heel. It seems to get aggravated after running or being on my feet.
Varies: There are a number of possibilities and I would not hesitate to be seen. Plantar fasciitis is one of the more common causes of heel pain and usually causes pain "immediately in front of the heel." If you are a runner, a calcaneal stress fracture can be another consideration. A detailed exam and appropriate studies would likely determine the causeSee 1 more doctor answer

The arch of my left foot hurts when im walking or running if I put more pressure on the arch of my foot it started 1 week ago after running. No swelln?
Stop Running: With any strain or injury, it's very important to rest the affected foot. There may be a tendon or ligament injury and with further running it could worsen. Have a specialist examine it if you have no improvement!
Maybe: Having pain after (or during) activity is not a good sign. There is a possibility that you have a stress fracture, it could also be many other possible conditions. The first thing to do is back of on your activities, allow the symptoms to resolve, then slowly progress back into activities. If the symptoms do not resolve or return quickly, you should be evaluated by your doctor.See 2 more doctor answers
Usually no: Raise the heel if there is pain under the heel or at the heel attachment of the plantar fascia. If it;s tender there and painful on stretching the foot upwards use a heel lift in the shoe. Ice bath at night is also helpful, forefoot and arch pain perhaps could use an orthotic otc cushion. Make sure there's np more than 250-300 miles on your shoe.See 3 more doctor answers
Yes: This is due to the shoe sliding back and forth and your foot position is incorrect in the shoe.
Yes: If shoes are too large you feet will slide around in them and you will not be receiving proper support in the needed areas.See 3 more doctor answers
Do I need to go see a dr at this point? Hello – can anyone help me with a continuing foot pain I have? I injured it running at the end of july. I’m pretty sure it’s planters fasciitis – pain in heel for a while, then relocated to 2 toes lately (probably j
While: While it's entirely possible to develop plantar fasciitis from an injury, by far, the most common presentation with plantar fasciitis is the slow, gradual onset of pain with no associated trauma. Pain is commonly described as heel pain, worse especially after rest. If you injured your foot back in july and you're still having pain, there is a fair chance you may have broken a bone or tore a ligament. I would therefore say yes, by all means, go get this checked out. I only hope that you haven't waited too long, because if it's been fractured or a ligament torn for all this time and you've been walking on it, the odds of a complete recovery at this point is severely compromised. Please go to either a podiatrist or foot& ankle orthopedist and get checked out.See 1 more doctor answer

The arch of my foot hurts a lot when I run. So much that I had to quit running because of which I have gained more than 35 pounds. What could I be?
Be seen: I would definitely be seen rather than give up your previously more active lifestyle. It may be something as simple as a minor foot malalignment issue that may completely respond to an orthotic or change in your shoe wear. Be seen.

Since I was 20 I would get feet pain, knee pain, and eventually lower back pain if I stand and walk for a while. Running is fine. Feet arch is normal.
