How can flu in an infant be treated? Hi, my baby 2 month-old has been having flu symptoms for 2 days such as stufy nose and dry coughe?
At this time of year, it may be due to another viral or bacterial illness. There are certain infection that also can be diagnosed at this age, which actually may have been transmitted earlier in life. Monitor the baby's temperature, and it is advisable to call your physician. If the temperature is elevated, then a work up is indicated.

Our 2 month old baby sometimes has yellow snot in her nose? She is sometimes colicky for 2 hours sometimes loud breathing would she have chesty cold?
Nasal Congestion: You are describing nasal congestion and it is possible the noisy breathing may be caused by that. Clear her secretions to see if that helps her breathing. If her breathing continues to be noisy, if she is working hard to breath, if she has fever or is not feeding well she needs to be seen by her doctor. This does not cause colic. It is possible she may have an ear infection as a cause of her pain. ...Read more

My 2 month old weighs 14lbs 9oz what is the right amount of infant tylenol (acetaminophen) I can give him in ml?
Al little young: While infant tylenol (acetaminophen) is not recommended by the manufacturer until 2 years of age it is used and if so the dose in millilitres for the weight you have given is a total of 9 ml in divided doses over 24 hours. That is a very conservative dose so check with the child's pediatrician. Tylenol (acetaminophen) should always be based on weight and not age in children. ...Read more
Rarely: Congestion is a normal response of the airway to inhaled dust, fumes, dry heat, pollen, etc. As well as infection. Airway mucous traps debris particles and works to remove them. Vaporizers help thin heavy mucous in some. Avoid cleaning products with heavy odors, perfumes, and smoke and change ac filters often. A particle filter for babys room may also help.
