Pinched Nerve/Muscle: Most times back pain that is sudden onset will resolve. You should use anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen, aleve around the clock and even tylenol (acetaminophen) to help. If this does not resolve you should see doctor for a muscle relaxant as well. If it still does not resolve, i would recommend seeing a spine specialist for a full evaluation and testing. My oxcy XR pain med is suppose to be effective for 8-12 hrs. I only get 4-5 hrs from it. Does this mean i need a higher dose or a different med.?
Oxycr: Firstly we have to ask how long have you been on this. You may developed a tolerance and this results in less effect. Also the med has to be taken q12hrs and not ever q 8hrs by design.
